The effect of the Opiate Epidemic on Ohio Families Part 1 of 2:
These webinars will give participants a sound research and theoretical basis on which to scaffold skills to develop interventions for the families they serve and for themselves (approved with NCFR for 1.0 contact hours/0.1 CEU)
Objectives:
1. Understand the scope and scale of the opiate epidemic in Ohio.

2. Apply aspects of self-care in the context of their own experience of compassion fatigue when working with families affected by opiate abuse.

3. Identify the stages of change in the Transtheoretical Model of Change and learn to recognize these stages in their families

4. Differentiate between varying intensities of intervention and current treatment and recovery support practices in order to assist families in recovery

The training is approved for CEUs by NCFR for CFLEs. If CEUs are required for a different organization participants can work with their own governing bodies to get CEUs for the training.

FREE Mental Health 1st Aid Certification – June 16, 2017

This is a FREE opportunity for our members and anyone else (SPREAD THE WORD) that is interested in being ready to help someone in a crisis. With 1 in 4 Americans experiencing a Mental or addiction disorder each year, Mental Health First Aid should be as common as CPR. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.

The training includes a certificate good for 3 years. We will have CEUs for CFLE. If CEUs are required for a different organization participants can Work with their own governing bodies to get CEUs for the training.
